Habitat Description: Growing in clearing in bottomland hardwood forest, at edge of an area typically inundated with water but currently dry due to drought.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Vine growing atop fallen tree limbs to a height of 3m. Heavy load of flowers with greenish-white petals; white stamens extend beyond an orange stigma. Light-green to yellow buds. Orange-coloured petioles and tendrils. Glabrous yellow-green leaves. Visited by numerous flying insects. With: Cephalanthus occidentalis, Polygonum. sp.. Occasional.
