Habitat

Habitat Description: Growing in bottomland hardwood forest. Tall canopy allowing dappled sunlight to reach the relatively low understorey. At edge of area typically inundated with water, but currently dry due to drought.

Plant Notes: Grass with sessile florets. Culm densely pubsecent (white) at base. Growing with: Hypericum hypericoides, Chasmanthium latifolium, Panicum sp., and Frangula caroliniana. Common.
