Habitat Description: Xeric, sandy environment. Herbaceous material is mowed every 5 years on right-of-way and woody material is cut down.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Erect herb with rich yellow-green and glabrous fruits and leaves. Leaves are appressed to the stem, with toothed margins and primary veins that are a yellow colour. Stem is a yellowish-green with orange-brown staining. Watery white latex. Growing with: Yucca louisianenis, Baptisia, Dalea villosa, Lechea, Plantago, Opuntia, Croton, Stylisma, Pediomelum digitatum. Common.
