Habitat

Habitat Description: Growing on marly hillslope in Schizachyrium scoparium and leaf litter. With Schizachyrium scoparium, Muhlenbergia reverchonii, Yucca pallida, Heliotropium tenellum, Liatris mucronata, and Bouteloua hirsuta. Under Quercus fusiformis.

Soil Description: Walnut Formation. Shallow gravelly calcareous clay loam. Soil marly - probably paralythic entisol weathered from shale parent material.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Flowers creamy white, spirally arranged up the stem. Basal rosette absent. Plant uncommon.
