Habitat

Habitat Description: Growing in Walnut Limestone barrens, slightly seepy, with Aristida purpurea, Muhlenbergia reverchonii, Iva angustifolia, Agalinis heterophylla, Croton monanthogynus and Dichanthelium oligosanthes.

Soil Description: Walnut Formation. Shallow calcareous clay loam, slightly seepy.

Plant Notes: Whitish inflorescenc. Awns of sessile spikelets approximately 1cm long. Nodes with short white hairs in ring. Perennial.
