Habitat Description: Growing in xeroriparian canyon. Currently dry. Lots of shells, boulders, and gravel at canyon base with walls of alluvial soil. Paluxy Formation still downslope. Growing with Tridens flavus, Viburnum rufidulum, Tridens albescens, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, and Croton monanthogynus.

Soil Description: Walnut Formation. Alluvial, shallow soil.
