Habitat Description: Growing on roadside adjacent to woodland with alluvial influences on backslope of Walnut Limestone ridgetop glade. Growing with Ambrosia trifida, Solanum ptychanthum, and Sorghum halepense next to Carya illinoinensis.

Soil Description: Walnut Formation. Deep clay with alluvial influences.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Leaves entire, papery when dry. Flowers yellow, rotate, purplish, nodding. Hairs simple not stellate. Anthers yellow.
