Habitat
Habitat Description: Eroding hillslope hollow. Mixed grass prairie dominated by Little Bluestem. Muhly seeps are common in the hollow. Ephemeral stream runs through the center of the hollow. Sparse trees and shrubs.
Soil Description: Calcareous sandy clay loams overlaying Duck Creek Limestone. Open prairie with Schizachyrium scoparium and Muhlenbergia reverchonii.

Plant Notes: Herb. Pernennial. Thick root difficult to remove. Digitate leaves. No involucre.
