Locality Description: Chamberlain Property. WSW of Hico. W side of CR 293, ca. 0.25 miles N of CR 295 and 5.77 miles W of Hwy 281. Near House.

Habitat Description: On Walnut Limestone barrens near house and entrance to property. Just upslope from Paluxy Sand, slopes minimal. Barrens dominated by Bothriochloa ischaemum, Bothriochloa laguroides, Hedyotis nigricans, Glandularia bipinnatifida, and Gaillardia pulchella.

Soil Description: Walnut Formation. Soil mapped as Purves - Dugout complex. Likely Dugout here, soil is thin and light in chroma - lacking a mollic epipedon required for Purves.
