Locality Description: Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. Along maintenance trail from northernmost gate into the Refuge to the Cross Timbers Trail on Todd Island.

Habitat Description: In full shade forest with clear understorey. Growing with Smilax bona-nox, Chinaberry (Melia), Verbena.

Soil Description: Deep sandy Aquilla soils.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Erect herb with mature flowers and fruit. Flowers with 5 white petals, five light green sepals with white edges. Stamens appear to ring the central portion of the flower. Fruit are glabrous green colour, Pubescent stems and leaf undersides. Three toothed leaflets. Common.
