Lake Houston State Park, along and south of FM 1485, 3 mi E of New Caney; along east side of Peach Creek, along Creek Forks Trail, about 100 m S of primitive camping area. Upper to lower steam bank terraces. [30 08' N; 95 10' W] Mixed hardwood (laurel oak, white oak, water oak, magnolia, sweet gum) - loblolly pine forest grading into river birch riparian woodland; upper to lower sandy terraces of stream bank, in some places incised by old channels and tributaries. Infrequent on steep sandy bank 1 m above water line.
